Tom Spanbauer: Finalist 2014 Ferro-Grumley Award for LGBT Fiction

Hawthorne Books is very pleased to announce that Tom Spanbauer’s novel I Loved You More has been selected as a finalist for the 2014 Ferro-Grumley Award for LGBT fiction. The winner will be announced on Thursday, April 23, 2015, at The Publishing Triangle’s annual Triangle Awards, to take place at the Tishman Auditorium of the New School for Social Research (66 West 12th Street in New York City) at 7 p.m. The ceremony is free and open to the public, with a reception to follow.  At that time, winners of the Triangle’s non-fiction, debut fiction, and poetry awards will also be announced, and playwright María Irene Fornés will receive a special award.

This year, for the second time, The Publishing Triangle will showcase some of the finalists/nominees at a public reading. The reading will be held at the Bureau of General Services – Queer Division on Wednesday, April 22, the night before the awards ceremony. A limited number of finalists will be able to read from their nominated works. The Bureau is located on the second floor of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center at 208 West 13th Street (between Seventh Avenue and Greenwich Avenue), and is wheelchair-accessible.
